T-80 battle tank TECHNICAL DETAILS
The layout of the T-80 is similar to that of the T-64: the cockpit is located on the centerline at the front, the two-man turret is in the center, with the gunner on the left and the commander on the right, and the engine is mounted at the rear. Overall, its shape is also very similar to that of the T-64. The original T-80 design uses a 1,000 hp gas turbine instead of a 750 hp diesel engine, although some later T-80 variants reverted to using the diesel engine.
