SU-27 fighter TECHNICAL DETAILS
The basic design of the Su-27 is aerodynamically similar to that of the MiG-29, but is substantially larger. The wing merges with the fuselage at the leading edge extensions and is essentially a cross between a sweep wing and a cutout delta wing (the delta wing with the tips cut out for missile rails or ECM pods). The fighter is also an example of a delta wing configuration with a tail, retaining the conventional horizontal tail planes.
