MIG-29 fighter TECHNICAL DETAILS
The MiG-29 is equipped with hydraulic controls and a SAU-451 three-axis autopilot but, unlike the Su-27, does not have a fly-by-wire control system. However, it is very agile, with excellent instantaneous and sustained turning performance, high-fidelity capabilities and general spin resistance. The airframe is mainly made of aluminium with some composite materials [specify]and is stressed for manoeuvres up to 9 g (88 m/s²). The controls have ‘soft’ limiters to prevent the pilot from exceeding the g and alpha limits, but the limiters can be manually deactivated.
