MIG-23 fighter TECHNICAL DETAILS
The MIG-23 is a third-generation jet fighter, the most produced variable-geometry aircraft in the world, along with similar Soviet fighters such as the Su-15 ‘Flagon’.
The armament of the MiG-23 evolved as the avionics of the type were updated and new variants were introduced. Early versions, equipped with the MiG-21’s fire control system, were limited to firing variants of the R-3/K-13 missile (AA-2 ‘Atoll’).
