M4A1 TECHNICAL DETAILS
M4A1- an assault rifle (carbine), designed in the USA on the basis of the AR-15 for the 5.56×45 NATO cartridge. It was developed primarily for vehicle drivers and shooting teams, who needed a weapon that was more compact and lighter than a standard rifle, but used the same ammunition.
