BMP-3 Combat Vehicle TECHNICAL DETAILS.
The BMP-3 is one of the most heavily armed infantry fighting vehicles in service. The original version of the BMP-3 has a turret equipped with a 100-mm 2A70 low-velocity rifled cannon, which can fire conventional or 9M117 Bastion ATGM (AT-10 Stabber) projectiles. Forty 100-mm projectiles and eight ATGMs are carried. A 2A72 30-mm dual-fed autocannon with 500 rounds (300 HEI and 200 APT) and a firing rate of 350 to 400 RPM, and a 7.62-mm PKT machine gun with 2,000 rounds, all mounted coaxially in the turret.
