BMD-1 Combat Velic TECHNICAL DETAILS
The BMD-1 can be considered a BMP for airborne troops. The vehicle must therefore be lighter and smaller to meet the weight requirements for airdrops (the BMD-1 is mounted on a pallet and parachuted from cargo aircraft). From the front to the rear of the vehicle, compartments are located in the following formation: steering, combat, troop and engine.
